Circle of Life Winter 2013

December, Winter 2013, Nadya Phillips is 46, and Dominic is 38. (HA! I forgot to include this update before Viggo and Cameron. I totally forgot that I had a birth in December. oops) Last update.

  
Nadya is tired of being pregnant. It's been years since she's carried a child, but honestly, she doesn't remember it being like this. And to make matters worse, she's a week over due. So to say that she's ready to get this baby out is an understatement.





She hasn't been feeling very sexy lately. What, with the swollen ankles, sever heartburn, and extremely tender breast, but sex is one of the triggers of labor. Well, that's what a lot of women have reported in those New Mothers chat boards.

So Nadya and Dominic try a little bit of that on the sofa, in the bed, even in the guest bed room.

But still... no baby.




She tries soaking in a nice warm bath with her favorite bubble bath, Lilac and Lavender. But that doesn't work it.

Still... no baby.




Finally, after giving up and losing all hope, Nadya calls it a night, and right before she drifts off to sleep she feels the beginning pains of labor. She jumps out of bed, literally. As she does so, her bags of water ruptures. She calls out for her husband.




He flies up the steps and into the bedroom. He's greeted by the damp spot on the carpet and his wife gritting her teeth. Lamaze class and hours of watching birthing videos truly do not prepares one for the actual thing.

Dominic screams, and almost passes out. Nadya reminds him in a few chosen words that they really should get to the hospital.



And after only three hours of labor, two pushes later, and one day in the hospital, Nadya and Dominic welcome home their son, Hunter Michael. He has his mother's blue eyes and skin tone, and his father's black hair.
