Alex is very excited. Today is his birthday celebration. The extended family is so large that they couldn't have a party at their tiny apartment, and instead host one at Family Fun Fest. It's owned by Bret's brother, Brad, so everything is greatly discounted for them!

It's Bell and Brad's house that friends and family gather at to ring in the new year. And Bell's excited. This is her first time being a hostess as well as having a large group in her home. She's finding that she likes it and makes a mental note to throw more parties in the future.





She also decides to prank her sister and nail her with a water balloon.





Ariel laughs and get her sister back with a joy buzzer.





The girls giggle. It fun to visit past times that you shared as kids. They really do need to start spending more time together.


It just seems that after Ariel had her son she became more serious, focusing all of her energy on Alex and Bret. But she promises her twin that she will make more time for her.


This pleases Bell. She really has missed Ariel. And she also makes a vow to herself never to have children. She likes being free and able to do what she wants when she wants. And kids will only hinder that.







Doing what she wants also means pranking her mother as well.





Jodi isn't to amused by it though.





Tina Traveller wasn't even sure if she was coming to the party, but since she lives right across the hall from Brad and Bell she figures it would be rude not to come. So she comes, and she runs into Bart Ottamas.


And despite what she told him as well as Richard back in college, she finds that she misses him. She misses Bart a lot. She thinks that she may love him as well. The though scares her, so she gets up and grabs another beer. Love or not, she's staying single for a long time.





It seems that Zac Burrego has had one to many drinks and decides to strip in his daughter's bath room to pleasure himself.





And it's not his wife that's got him all hot and bothered! Well, at least he's keeping it to his head and hand and not trying to cheat.




Ariel and Davon Christian get into it. They might have had too much to drink as well.

Bell sits on the couch and watches as the ball count down begins. She laughs to herself, maybe Ariel shouldn't drink so much then she wouldn't have tired to kiss Davon. he ball drops and New York erupts in "Happy New Year!" Everyone in the apartment cheers and screams as well. Welcome to the new year of 2012.

notes from GB: You know I just realized that that's AJ not Davon. Ops. Bell invited the wrong Christian boy. See this is what I get for playing this update at 5 in the morning and sleepy. I never noticed it even when she was calling to invite everyone to the party. *sigh* So just act like that Davon.

Now it all clicks. I was wondering why he and Eva weren't their normal all over each other selves. Now I know. LOL

Those College Days

Spring 2009, Bret Patrelli and Ariel Burrego are 21, Alex Burrego-Patrelli is 1





Ariel had a suspicion that she was pregnant last year, but wasn't 100% sure. But it wasn't until she started to show that she really knew.

After finding out she and Bret moved to the university's family house units. Each unit provided two bedrooms, which were tiny. A small kitchen and living room. Ariel couldn't wait to graduate and get the hell out of there. But once baby Alex was born, she quickly forgot about the small place.

The goal now for Bret and Ariel was to obtain the best grades possible so they could provide a good life for the budding family.





One thing that scared Ariel was telling her parents. She was going to as soon as she had truly found out, but then their family house burned down. She didn't want to as insult to injury. Not that being pregnant and unmarried was something bad in their family.

Heck, if stories were true her great aunts both were unmarried and had had children outside of marriage. Well, that's what archives from Apple Valley had stated.

But she didn't tell them until her final trimester, and now it was time to invite them over to met their first grandchild.



"I'm Grandma! Yes I am." Jodie cooed to Alex. She adored him. He was perfect in every way, and his little freckles were to die for. She figured they must have come from Bret's side of the family, and little Alex's pale skin as well.





Bret was nervous meeting Ariel's parents. The last time he had seen them was Freshmen year, when they had come to visit their girls. This was before he and Ariel started seeing each other.

"Don't worry Mr. Burrgeo. I plan to do right by your daughter. I want to make it legal one day."

"You want to make it legal? One day? You should have thought about that before you went and knocked up my daughter!"

Zac wasn't normally a fighting kind of man, he was very reserved. A peace loving man, but this boy, this Bret, made him want to knock that smug off his face. Little shit that he was. This was the exact reason why he didn't want his little girls going off to college and living on campus. Because of creeps like Bret.

And in all truthfulness, he never though in his wildest dreams that Ariel would be the one having a baby while still in school. He had always thought that would go to Bell. She was the rebel of the two when they were teens. Ariel was the studious one, who never wore black make-up and dyed her hair. But this was something he would just have to live with.

"You didn't have to be like that!" Ariel said to her dad.

"Like what?" He hadn't looked away from the baby yet.

"You know what you did dad, and you're wrong. Bret is a good guy. And I love him. Just give him a chance... for me." But Ariel's dad didn't respond.

The first few months flew by quickly, and little Alex turned one. He had grown so fast, and was becoming more handsome by the minute.

Bret adored his son, and wouldn't trade this for anything in the world. Even though he and Ariel were young and still in school, they both had good heads on their shoulders. They were doing extremely well in school, and he had a wonderful internship at the museum. It even paid pretty well, and he was saving all of it. They might even be able to afford a house upon graduation.

Ariel also spent all her free time with Alex. He was a very bright toddler. She was hoping that he'd take after her side of the family. She comes from a long line of very intelligent people. Not saying that Bret's family aren't smart, just not as smart as hers.

And to prove just how smart he was. Alex spoke his first word, very complex for a 13 month old. Chair. Ariel was proud.

It didn't fit in with the update, but for some reason the nanny hates Bret. I have no idea why. They never talk or anything. He gave her a $25 tips once, which she was really happy about. Maybe because he doesn't tip her anymore??? I have no idea.

As for little Alex and his skin tone. Yes, he is Bret's son, lol. Ariel has only been with him. I think since his mom has one of my lightest skins, and it has freckles too, the game used another light skin with freckles for the baby. I was shocked. I though he would have tan skin. Goes to show how genetics just pop up when they want.)

Simone Patrelli-Lewis - Sim Day 36 - 40

I was beginning to think that this day would never come. Me and Ryker have been together for a long time. I met him when I was a senior in high school and he was a college drop out working at my mom's restaurant. Well, we finally moved in together. That was a huge feat, lol. But David made it easy for me. I think I needed him to put his foot down and stand firm, which he did. And I thank him for that.

I know it now, that what I felt for David wasn't real. Oh, don't get me wrong. I do love him, it's just not the way that I love Ryker. Ryker is my soul mate. He is that missing piece that makes me complete. And now the piece will always be here with me. After a long day of moving I fell asleep in my dinner.

And not only did he move in but we finally finalized the wedding plans and it happens in just one day! Can you believe it? At first I thought things were moving way to fast, but now I don't. I mean, I can't keep putting this off forever and it's not as if I'm getting any younger. 27 simyears old, and still not married. So not good, lol.


Ryker decided that he wanted to get one more promotion before we became man and wife and brought a friend home with him from work. I don't even remember that nasty little man's name. Instead of coming into the apartment to use the bathroom he decideds that the bush in the fornt yard would make a good a place than any. Ewww much! I told Ryker and he sent him home. I hope he never EVER comes home with him again. Nasty!


The big day finally came. I was so nervous so Ryker decided to calm me the only way he knew how (which is the best way!) Which made us 15 mintues late to our own wedding, lol. But it was well worth it! Do you think we sould get blinds for the livingroom windows? If someone got to close while walking by they might get an eye full!


We decided to get married at the Community center's wedding area. It was lovely and all my family and friends show up. I think I looked pretty fly in my wedding dress. I know it's not traditional, but neither am I, Never have been, and I'm pretty sure I never will be. Now, on to the wedding pics!

So all in all it was a wonderful ceremony. We didn't go on a honeymood. We've decided to hold off, and save up for a proper one. Right now Ryker and I would like to buy a home, and a honeymoon just doesn't fit into the budget. We want to purchase our home without a mortgage. It might not be the brightest of ideas, but this is our game plan for now, lol.

The next day we invited the family over for a family get together. The blonde is my new best friend, Nita Rich, I invited her too since she lives in the building and she's like family to me.

As you can see my mom is already askign us when are we giving her her first grandchild. Geez, the ink isn't even dry on our wedding papers and she's already asking about kids. And this is coming from the woman who hated me for "stealing" her man all those years ago.

But I promise this IS the last time. No more. I'm going to become totally devoted to Ryker. I love him and we are going to get married!

Simone Patrelli - Sim Day 26

My first place! It's really great. There's just something about being the first sim to live in a newly constructed building. After sharing a dorm with five other sims for 12 days I'm happy to be out on my own. I actually have some peace and quite for a change and I nice wall to hang my diploma. Did I mention just how nice it is to cook in a kitchen that isn't swarming with other college students, pulling pranks, screaming chears, running around nude? Adulthood was well worth the wait.

After settling in and meeting my new neighbors I decided to take up Nature as my chocen hobby. It's great, I love the bird watching and the trimming of the lawn and watching my fish. Soon I advance far enough to where I could go hiking. It was a nice hike but I ran into a bit of poison ivy and have been itching ever since. I'm covered in red clotchy patches all over. I keep bathing hoping that that will help, but as soon as I step out of the tub, I'm scratching again. My mom said I rightly deserved it. That if I had gotten a job soon as I graduated and moved into my own place then I wouldn't have been on that stupid hike in the first place.

She's just bitter because I refused to come back and work at Cafe Mode. She wants me to take over when she retires, but cooking just isn't my thing. I enjoy making food, cooking for friends and family, but doing it as a full time job, no. I just can't and I wish she would understand that. Of course she won't, not ever. And I can see her laying on the guilt trip for sim days to come. Sadly, one of my little brothers, Bret or Brad will be forced to take over the restuarant when the time comes. I hate to say it but better them than me. I know what I want to do and I'm laying the ground work now.

Well I submitted my first job application and I'm waiting for the owner to get back with me. I'm really nervous, this is the first step to my dream career. I just can't wait. I hope they get back with me soon! So help my nerves I decided to try my hand at car restoration. I have a few michanical skills and I thought this would be a great idea. Not only will it keep my mind of what I hope will be my future job but also off of Ryker and David. I'm kinda avoiding the both of them. I still can't believe that I asked Ryker to marry. And I hate to admit this, but I'm still sleeping with David. I know it was wrong in college, it just happend, but now... there's no excuse. We need to stop, I have to stop this. But I love both of them. This is why I'm avoiding them, I need to make up my mind. I don't want to be like my mother. At least she's a romance sim, I'm not.
