Tony is a super smart child. Anya thinks he might be into science when he gets older. Not only does he enjoy playing with animals.
He also enjoys reading and discussing the books that he's read. If it were up to him he's spend all of his free time at the library reading. This does please Anya, but she wonders about his social life when he gets older. He might not have as many friends as she would like do to his interests.
But Tony isn't worried about popularity or tons of friends right now. He's only in entering the first grade, as long as he has his books and his mom, he's completely.
Even though Anya's life revolves around her son she does take time for herself, like when Tony is with his father. She's been dying to go to the new tea house that opened up over the summer. She's glad she's taken the time. The tea pots are lovely, too bad they are too expensive right now.
But Anya doesn't leave empty handed, she buys a wonderfully delicious cup of tea and some cupcakes for Tony.
But most of her time is with her son. They spend a lazy day down at the lake. Sadly, Tony has an encounter with a very moody crab.
After fending off the crab Tony decided to go for a swim.
Anya runs into Amos, Tony's uncle. They spend a few minutes catching up. Amos tells her that they all need to get together, have the kids play and get to know each other better. They're family after all!
But Anya keeps an eye on Tony the whole time, making sure that he doesn't get in trouble in the water.
They get home early since Anya has a date. She's nervous. She can't remember when was the last time she's been on a date. She give herself a quick once over before heading out the door.
She meets her date at a new bar that opened on Main Street.
Inside after being seated she confesses that this is her first date in a really long time.
Her date laughs, telling her that he has a confession of his own, this is his first date in over a year.
They both laugh, and she can feel her nerves melting away. Tonight is starting to shape up pretty well.
That's until their salads arrive and the waiter drops it all over them.

I hadn't realized just how old Anya is. Not that 38 is old, but she has the want to get married and also the fear of never being married. So I decided to kick this into overdrive. I found her a nice guy to go out with and it turned out pretty good. So I can't wait to see where it leads.
Tony is a little smarty pants, in the good way. He loves animals and books. I think he might be a knowledge sim when he grows up, but we'll see. My teens seem to change their minds a lot as they grow.
I also forgot Anya's dates name that's why I didn't mention it. And if their realtionship progresses I didn't want to give him a fake name and forget to fix it in this post. LOL
38 is a little old if you are hoping to get married! I hope she finds Mr. Right, I totally know that townie, one of the college group, right? I've married him off before, but I don't know *who* it is.
ReplyDeleteI've never had a crab do that at the beach! Poor Tony. He's a cutie, and I love that he's wearing purply-pink with an inflatable ducky. He has no shame in it, little cutie!
What a cutie Tony is! Definite future Knowledge Sim there. ;)
ReplyDeleteI hope Anya and her date develop something meaningful. It'd be nice for her, seeing she wants to get married and is worried about never getting the chance. I wonder what Tony will think.
Maisie, Yeah it is, but Nadya was late to the party too. LOL She didn't get married until she was 40 and then had a baby. So hopefully there is hope for Anya Yup. he's a dormie. I forgot how they actually met but things seem to be going good for them so far. I might make him a bit older though. Not sure.
ReplyDeleteTony is awesome. Now his dad, not sure he'll be too pleased with the color choice.
Carla, I hope things turn out well for her too. I don't think Tony cares too much right now. But he hasn't met the new guy either. But he also knows that him mom and dad aren't together either.
