Update on Riverdale

Okay, first I'd like to say that I got my new computer two months ago. *woot* *woot* And I've slowly been adding to the new system, playing on it and just getting a feel for it and having fun.

I debate for the longest on getting Windows 7 or 8, and decided on Windows 8. Surprisingly my Sims 2 game actually installed on it. YAY! But I still have to replace a few of my cds, they have either gotten misplaced or were broken by kids.

Because of my limited time being able to play I have decided to rebuild Riverdale in the Sims 3. So my new updates for now on will be in that game. I hope it's not too much of a change for you readers, and I hope you continue to enjoy the stories of my simmies in Riverdale.

As far as my playing style. I'm still playing in rotation, but I'm not sticking to a schedule like I had with my Sims 2 play. Which means, I may not have an update for all of my families, possibly only the ones that have an active storyline going. I will still be posting by season and month though.

I'm still working out the kinks so please hang in there with me as I work everything out.

  1. I started more than once to play a Sims3-hood the way I play my Sims2-hood, rotation and updates on every household etc., but I gave up because the Sims in Sims3 kept growing old and die by the time I'd reach their household - and if I turned that autonomous "life" off in the game options, it meant my active household didn't age, either. That took away the fun of playing an entire neighbourhood for me. I still like Sims3 and play it occasionally for the adventures and opportunities, but Sims2 will always be my favourite game :-)
It will be interesting to see Riverdale rebuilt in Sims3, I am looking forward to it.

    1. I've actually borrowed Laura's aging mod, so they will age but not so fast, and give me enough time to play with my families, and enjoy them, without worrying about them dying. Hopefully I will be able to come to a good playing style that's good for me!

  2. Wow, that's quite a project! Will you be making all your sims in the new hood and blogging as you go or are you going to wait until you have everybody moved in?

    1. Not too much work, since I found the world already. LOL Which I am so happy for! But making those sims is a bit of work. I have a good chunk of them done so far. So I think I will try to start posting soon.

    1. It is fun! I seem to have turned more into a lurker, I need to get back to commenting. LOL But I'm enjoying reading stories from both games!

  4. Ah I'm glad you are coming back! I've missed you in the community, though I am sad you won't be playing TS2 an hanging out in the same forum at N99. All in all, can't wait until you are back to posting again!

    1. OMG! I'm so late with the response. As you know from N99, I got my S2 game running! Thanks to EA giving away free copies. So I'm slowly adding and building but for Riverdale it's easier for me to play them in their S3 forms. Less jumping around and having to age up each family and pregnancy and the like. It was starting to become a bit much for me. I do miss Riverdale 1.0 but I'm liking 2.0 as well, and I hope you do too! And it's good to be back!
