There's this friend

April, Spring 2012, Peng T'ang is 36, Li-Fen is 34 and, Ruling and Roulan are 7. Last updated winter 2009. (Justin Kim is 31)

Narrated by Le-Fen T'ang

I've been thinking a lot about my marriage recently. Peng and I have been married for quit a while now. We have three wonderful children together. But I can't help to think that something is missing.

He's very attentive. He's always home for dinner and spends quality time with the girls.

And he makes sure that all my needs are met as well. But everything is all planned out. Nothing is ever spontaneous. Even our summer vacation back home was in the works for three years. He's so controlled and organized. Nothing is ever passion-filled. Nothing is spontaneous.

And then he bring him home. We are friends. I met Justin when he first started working at the high school. We get along wonderfully and he is everything that Peng isn't. And it's thrilling, it electrifying. It's everything that I want in a man. And before, he was with someone. He wasn't a problem. But now...

Peng retires early and everything happened so fast. One moment Justin was making a joke. Another moment I was laughing. Then our lips were touching. And it was everything I knew it would be. It was as if I were woken from the waking sleep I have been in for so long. I've been going through the motions but Justin came and woken me up.

Neither of us were sure what to say next. He could feel the sparks as well.

"I...I'm sorry." He said.

I only nodded.

I was silent, not because I was upset by what we had just done, but because I wanted to do it again. But Peng and the girls were right upstairs. Justin muttered "good night," and hurried to the door, letting himself out.

I stood in the game room, my lips still tingly from the kiss. My toes felt as if they were barley touching the ground. I had always thought I was in love with T'ang, but now I'm not so sure. I think I'm actually in love with Justin. And instead of being shocked at this revelation I am relieved. I'm actually in love. But what do I do now?

***
notes from GB: Okay I knew this was coming for a while now. Le-Fen and Justin have been friends every since he graduated college and started working as a teacher. She would always come home with him and even when he was with Shelby they would flirt. They have been crushing on each other for a looooong time. So this kiss was a long time coming.
So now they are in love. He was in love with Shelby too, and I think that's why things never went further than just flirting and tickling before. But Le-Fen, she's not in love with Peng. She has a crush on him and they only have one bolt for each other. She never rolls wants for him, though he rolls wants for her all the time.
Now she and Justin have three bolts for each other. I'm so up in the air. I have no idea how this is going to work out. If they do divorce with will be Riverdale's first divorce in a really long time. The first one was between Edward Sr. and Jamie Lopez when she was pregnant with AJ. So that was a long time ago. Almost 20 years ago. I think I have way too many happy marriages right now. LOL Not realistic at all.

And I feel this big

April, Spring 2012, Anya Kent is 36 and Tony is 3.5 years old. Last updated winter 2008.(Rupert Cotton is 32 and Tynisha Corbin is 34)

Narrated by Anya Kent

When I came home from work Tony was outside to greet me. I was a bit shocked since the nanny was no where to be seen. I mean, what am I paying her for if she's not properly watching my son? But I didn't stress over it, she soon appeared off the side of the house and, Tony was having so much fun trying to catch a few butterflies.

My new boss, Tynisha Corbin, came home with me. I'm excited to be working for her. She seems like someone I can get a long with. Once I introduced her to Tony she asked me if I was married.

Glancing at my finger she changed the question to divorced. I told her no that I haven't had the pleasure of being married yet. That Tony's dad and I were just friends. We have a somewhat creative relationship.

She didn't seem to thrilled by the answer and suggested that maybe I stop by the worship hall one day and sit with her husband. Like I need to speak to the pastor. She excused herself after that, and I hate to say it but I was glad that she had. She made me feel bad about myself. Like having relations outside of marriage was something bad. Heck, it's normal. But I just couldn't shake the feeling of being dirty after that.

I put Tony down for his nap after that. I though at about firing the nanny, but she's cheap, way cheaper than other nannies in Riverdale. And on a teacher's salary I need all the cheapness I can get.

Rupert came over later. And there's one thing I can say about Rupert. He may not be the commitment type. Heck, any woman with a head on her shoulder knows that he's only after one thing. (I wish I knew this sooner.) But don't let anyone tell you that he's not a good father. He's been here with Tony since he was born. Rupert adores his son.

And Tony adores his daddy. And I'm happy. I want my son to have a good relationship with his father.

His visits always end like this. I keep telling myself every time we do it that that time will be the last time, but it isn't. It makes me so mad, sleeping with Rupert got me in the situation that I'm in now.

But I can't help it. He's like my drug. I'm addicted to him. But I'm serious, this time is the last time. I need to stand up for myself. I deserve better than just being some guy's baby's mama.

A week later and I still couldn't shake the way Tynisha made me feel. It doesn't help that I have to see her at work everyday either. But in a way I think it's good that I do feel bad. Maybe I will go talk to Pastor Corbin. I've been treated like a doormat for far too long. I need to get my life on track. Rupert isn't going to be with me. And I need to make myself better not only for me, but for Tony as well.

The weather is changing. It's starting to get warmer by the day, and I really need to follow through on my decision. I need to call Pastor Corbin. I'm proud of myself. After Rupert's last visit, I told him that we wouldn't be sleeping together anymore. Not surprisingly, he was okay with that. Told me he'd be back to see Tony in two days.

So why do I still feel so dirty inside?

But just one look into my son's eyes and I know I'm doing the right thing. I need to start thinking about both of us. He's growing so fast and I'm not getting any younger. I want to provide a stable home for the both of us. I just hope it's not to late for me to find "Mr. Right," if he even exists. Have I wasted too much time waiting for Rupert to come around?

***
notes from GB: As always not much happened in this house. Anya has always been a bit plan. She only went after Rupert all those years ago because he showered her with attention until she gave it up to him. In truth she and Amos got along way better, and they were headed for something until she slept with Rupert. After that Amos turned his wants towards Nita. I can't help but to think Anya's life would have been so much better if she had stayed with Amos. *sigh*
So she's getting older and she's rolled the fear of getting old and never been married, she's a pleasure/family sim. I hope she'll be able to find love soon. I might have to give her a small push in the right direction. Even though I don't have anyone in mind. I'm glad she's over Rupert finally. *yay* So that will help with her finding someone else.
And no matter what Anya talked about with Tynisha she would yawn and look at her nails. So I figured they don't get along at all. LOL It's to bad too. I thought they would make good friends.

A natural progression

March, Spring 2012, Thomas Brooks is 56, Tyra is 53, Marcus and Oliver are 15 and, Eva is 24. Last updated Fall 2010. (Davon Christian is 20)

Tyra's excited for Oliver. He's landed a roll in the school play. "I think it's great that you're doing the show. You're really getting popular aren't you?" She looks over at her husband and can't help but to think that their son is much like him, out going, playful, and a handful.

This makes Oliver squirm in his set. He doesn't like the added attention that his mom's been giving him. She should shower the extra attention on Marcus.

He's the one who spends hours on end either playing his online game, World of Warcraft, or buried in a book studying for school. At the rate he's going he'll never get a girlfriend.

Speaking of girlfriends, Suni Ramaswami and Oliver are going strong. Things have been going great and just keep getting better. But he doesn't mind telling her how special she is to him.

Suni's glade that she gave Oliver a chance. He makes her feel good about herself, especially after the year she's had after AJ.

They also enjoy making out, but clothes stay on in public.

And one can't forget the obligatory noggie of love.

They head out on their date. Thomas offered to drive them but Oliver refused. It's embarrassing having your dad drive you and your girl everywhere. Oliver can't wait until next year, he'll be able to drive! And hopefully get a car.

"I mean, I just don't get it. How am I supposed to compare to my brother? He was a overachiever! It's too much pressure, I can't do it!" Suni exclaims.

"So stop trying. Stop trying to be your brother. Why not try to be Suni. I think if you gave her a chance you just might like her. Even if she's not an overachiever." Oliver says.

Suni arches a brow. "Be more like Suni, huh? I... I'm not sure if I know how. Suni really isn't that good at what she does. Mohindr is though."

"You can stop with the politics. You're an awesome person, Suni. And when you let your guard down I like who I see. You need to be more like that ALL the time." Oliver suggests.

"I need to make peace with myself and like who I am." The revelation actually makes her feel better.

Brooke spots the two and walks over to say hi. She can't help but to feel a bit jealous. Suni's parents let her date. It's so not fair. She's the only teen in Riverdale not allowed to date.

They end their date with some sparkling apple cider. Oliver asks the waitress if she could place the drinks in fancy glasses. Suni giggles at the sight but finds it romantic none the less.

The date officially ends with a good night kiss. There's no time or making out tonight, it's a school night and both teens have a curfew.

Davon stops by later that night to see Eva. It's become a ritual of sorts and Thomas greets the young man out in front of the house.

"You know I hate that your parents know what we're doing in here." Davon says. Eva giggles a bit before placing a kiss on his chest.

"When are you going to move in?" he asks.

Eva sighs. "Soon, I promise," she says. "You better, this bed isn't big enough for the two of us." He says.

Davon rolls over and gives Eva another kiss. She kisses him back maybe a little too enthusiastically. She had all the intentions of moving in with him after she graduated, but now, she's just not sure. She does love Davon, but Eva isn't sure if moving in with someone and starting something so serious is the best thing to do at the moment.

***
notes from GB: I'm not sure what I'm going to do with Davon and Eva. He rolls wants for her when I play his house and when he comes to visit her. (I make all my visiting sims selectable). But Eva hardly if ever rolls any wants for Davon. She used to roll wants for him ALL the time. Then it after they finally did it her wants for him stopped. Hmmm, I wonder if she's trying to tell me something. LOL
She thinks about him. She walks around with his head in her thought bubble, but I just don't know what to do.
As for Oliver and Suni, they roll wants for each other all the time. They make out on their own, it's so cute! They also think about marriage and babies when they are around each other. I really do think Oliver has helped her get over AJ. She no longer rolls wants for AJ and she's no longer making those angry faces with a flaming Lilly head in her thought bubbles. LOL I guess time and a good boyfriend will help heal open wounds.

You deserve to be happy

Winter, February 2012, Justin Kim 31, Kira is 5 and, Misha is 2.5. Last updated Spring 2010.
(Sharla Ottamas 28 is and Cynthia Kim is 56.)

Misha is the first to rise this day. Normally it's Justin. He's always been an early bird as long as he could remember, but not this morning.

She had a slumber party

Winter, January 2012, Kristin Sanches is 58, Danny is 59 and, Brooke is 13.
(Cameron Kim, Suni Ramaswami and, Sarah Corbin are 14 and Bri Shanan is 12.)

Friday night finally comes and Brooke can't wait for her guests to arrive. She calls Cameron to she when she's coming. The girl tells her that she's about to come back now she can't since Brooke called her. Brooke sighs before telling Cameron to hurry up, then she hangs up the phone.

Cameron, Suni and, Sarah all show up on time, but there is still one girl that hasn't. Brooke hopes she's still coming. She really wants her here.

"I just don't think I study hard enough. I mean, my brother, he had like four scholarships by the time he was in ninth grade. I only have one. One! What am I doing wrong?" Suni asks, not really expecting an answer.

"Don't worry about it. You have three more years to get those extra scholarships. Besides, your parents have money so they'll pay your way regardless." Brooke says, trying to make her friend feel better.

"What?!? What, you think I should just really on my parents money not my brains? What, I'm to stupid to get anymore scholarships other than the one I have now?"

Brooke looks down at her fingernails. "Chill, Suni. I was just trying to tell you not to stress over this. Lighten up."

Suni closes her eyes and takes a deep breath. "I just... I want those scholarships. But I think you're right. I might be obsessing over this a bit too much."

"Look, tonight is about fun. So lets just focus on having fun, okay?" Suni smiles and nods her head. Fun, she can do that!

The girls sit down to dinner. Brooke has to roll her eyes as she over hears Cameron and Suni's conversation.

"Seriously, play me a song on the worlds smallest violin, Suni. I'm sick of hearing how angry you are with Lilly and AJ. Get over it already. You have a way hot boyfriend now who is totally into you. Get over yourself and move on!"

Suni bites her tongue. With a friend like Cameron who needs enemies. She's supposed to have her side, let her cry on her shoulder. But all Cameron ever does, has ever done, is bite her head off. Sometimes Suni wonders why she is even friends with Cameron. She's such a bitch.

Bri Shahan (Burrego) finally shows up after dinner. Her excuse being she had to wait until her dad got off of work to drive her over. Her mom's morning sickness has started early and she stays in bed all the time. Cameron not really caring suggests everyone dace to work off the weight from the dinner. Hearing about one of those baby friends so isn't her thing.

The girls finally retreat to Brooke's bedroom where they start of game of truth or dare. "Truth or dare?" Cameron asks Brooke.

"Truth," Brooke says.

Cameron smirks before asking her question. "What does Eddie look like naked?" All the girls start to giggle and Bri gasps in shock.

Brooke rolls her eyes. "We haven't done anything other than make out. But from what I get a glimpse of here and there I'm pretty sure he looks like a statue, all chiseled and hard. You know, from all that soccer." Everyone starts to giggle again.

"Okay, my turn." Brooke says. She turns to Sarah. "Truth or dare." Of course Sarah takes truth. "Who do you have the hots for in the school?"

Sarah blushes a bit. "Well there's actually two. One is Marcus Brooks. He's really cute and the other is Viggo Kim." Every one's eyes snap to Cameron.

She laughs. "Too bad for you but Viggo is mine. We haven't made it known yet, but we are seeing each other."

Sarah's smile fades a bit which causes Cameron to smile even more. "But good luck with Marcus. Maybe you could bring him out of his shell."

Sarah turns to Suni. "Truth or dare, Suni?"

"Dare!" Suni says, but before Sarah can offer up her dare Suni has one of her own. "I have the perfect dare. I can get a can and go to the university sneak into AJ's dorm room and take something, like his school books or something."

After it's in the air the idea doesn't sound as good as it had in her head. But it would be really nice just to see AJ again. Just a peek.

Cameron rolls her eyes and waves her hand in the air. "Oh. My. Simgod. You are a total lost cause. What the heck is your malfunction. Could you be more Fatal Attraction? Get over it. AJ dumped your ass. He's with Lilly 'cause he doesn't want you!"

Suni fights back the tears. She really hates Cameron at this point. Plus, she feels really stupid because on some level, Cameron is right. She really needs to move on from AJ. She had a new boyfriend and she should focus on him instead of the minute possibility of AJ taking her back.

After that truth or dare is over. Cameron and Brooke are in the corner giggling about something and Sarah watches them. She thought Cameron was stuck on herself but tonight she's really seeing the girl for who she really is tonight.

How could anyone treat their so called best friend in the manner that she had with Suni? Cameron Smith was an evil person and someone needed to put her in her place.

Cameron pulls Suni to the side. "Look, I know I can be harsh and stuff. But really, it's for your own good. You need to quit doing this to yourself. AJ is a jerk and Oliver isn't. Be happy you have him. Be happy with yourself. You're better than AJ Christian."

Suni smiles. See, these are the moments that remind her why she is friends with Cameron. When the girl acts like she has a soul she can be really sweet.

In response Suni grabs one of the pillows laying in the hall way and hits Cameron with it. Cameron laughs before grabbing one of her own pillows. The rest of the girls break out into a massive pillow fight, which wakes up Brooke's parents. Danny orders all the girls to bed.

***
The next day Edward Jr. drops by and Brooke finally introduces him to her parents. She's nervous since they normally hang out after school. She joined the year book club as a cover to make out with Eddie behind the gym bleachers after school. Kristin is really taken with him. He's such a handsome young man, and very polite too.
"So, I was thinking that me and Eddie could go to that park." Kristin sighs.
"You know you're not allowed to date until your fifteen, Brooke."
"But why? It's not like we're going to do anything. All I want to do is hang out... at the park!"
"You should be happy that we even dropped it from sixteen to fifteen. You have so much time to grow up. Enjoy being young, Brooke. Go say goodbye to Edward. You have homework to finish."
Brooke hates her mom right now. She is so mean. Why can't she date? All her friends are dating, and this sneaking around is really getting old.

"I can't go to the park," she says.

Edward pulls her into a hug and kisses the tip of her nose. "Don't worry, I'll see you after school on Monday anyway." He says.

Brooke smiles. And he's right, she will see him. And even if they have to sneak around until she's fifteen she's willing to do it for him.

Maybe she can convince Kristin and Danny to let her attend soccer camp in the summer. That's two whole weeks with Eddie and no parents.

He pulls her in for a kiss goodbye. Every time they kiss it's like it's their first time. It sets butterflies off in her stomach and makes her palms sweat all at the same time. And ever since Cameron asked her last night about what Edward looks like naked she can't get the thought out of her head. So maybe it is a good thing that they can't be totally alone yet. Hormones are a strange thing.

***
notes from GB: Not much happened with the Sanchez's this round other than Brooke's sleep over. I know that's Eddie and Brooke's first kiss. But in my head they have been sating since October and seeking around with each other. Kristin and Danny have set rules, no dating until fifteen. So Brooke has to come up with creative ways to see Edward.
And they are really horny for each other. LOL They only have one bolt for each other but I'm always canceling the woohoo option for them. Soon as he comes to visit (which is a lot) they both get the "relax" icon and I have to cancel it. When he came over for the update they almost did do it. I had left them on the front lawn talking to have Kristin make lunch and Danny was playing golf, and the next thing I know they are laying in bed making out. So after that I had her say good bye to him. Those silly kids. Seriously, they are only 13. I'll make them wait a bit longer.
As for Bri, I messed up her age in the last few posts. I told you I was way ahead in my game play and I forgot that I was so far behind in updating, so she is not 13 yet she is still 12.

And poor Suni, she's still rolling wants for AJ. Even though she had Oliver have started dating. Yes, I may not show ALL of my game play, but I do play "behind the scenes." They started dating back when school started. He asked her to go steady too. So she rolls wants between him and AJ. It makes me laugh. But I feel so bad for her. AJ really burnt her bad. But she's moving on.
