She's bored. Her job on the female soccer team didn't work out. Bell has always been apathetic, even went to college majoring in sports. But the thrill. The love of it is gone. And now she's stuck at home all day flicking through the hundreds of channels with nothing to watch.  Being bored leads her mind to wondering.

It all comes back to the kids

It's all about the kids! That's Zac's motto. But it really is. Not to say that he doesn't do anything for his wife. That he's not motivated to provide a stable home, a good pay career only for his kids. He does all these things for his wife, Jodie, as well. He loves his whole family. But the future lies with their children, and he does all that he can to make sure that they have a solid foundation (education)...

Ariel Burrego welcomes her second child, and first daughter, Fae. Sadly, Bret is stuck at work and misses the birth. Alex is home and his happy to finally meet is little sister. He's already thinking up ideas and games they will play together once she gets older. Fae was born in April.

Summer Birthdays 2012




First up is little Alon Sanchez. He is the third addition to Fatima and Mansur's family, but he also holds the honor of being their first son. And his older cousin Donte.






Little Aspen Cotton was an unexpected bundle of joy for her parents Amos and Nita Cotton. But they are thrilled to have her added to their happy home!

Cicero Burrego has just turned four. He's excited because this year he gets to start school. He'll be attending Riverdale Elementary School with his older brother Fyodor.

Geeta Ramaswami is also four this summer and like Cicero she's excited about started preschool!

And last but not least is Tony Kent. He's four too! But he is not ready to start school. He's a bit shy like his mom, so meeting new people is something that is low on his "to do" list.

Bell still finds her self dreaming and thinking about Newton. He was her first love and when he died she though she would be lost for a long time.

Happy New Year 2012

December, Winter 2011/2012, Bell Burrego and Brad Patrelli are both 23.
(Ariel Burrego, Eva Brooks and Tina Traveller are 23. Davon Christian is 20. Zac Burrego is 52 and Jodi Burrego is 51.)





It's Bell and Brad's house that friends and family gather at to ring in the new year. And Bell's excited. This is her first time being a hostess as well as having a large group in her home. She's finding that she likes it and makes a mental note to throw more parties in the future.





She also decides to prank her sister and nail her with a water balloon.





Ariel laughs and get her sister back with a joy buzzer.





The girls giggle. It fun to visit past times that you shared as kids. They really do need to start spending more time together.


It just seems that after Ariel had her son she became more serious, focusing all of her energy on Alex and Bret. But she promises her twin that she will make more time for her.


This pleases Bell. She really has missed Ariel. And she also makes a vow to herself never to have children. She likes being free and able to do what she wants when she wants. And kids will only hinder that.







Doing what she wants also means pranking her mother as well.





Jodi isn't to amused by it though.





Tina Traveller wasn't even sure if she was coming to the party, but since she lives right across the hall from Brad and Bell she figures it would be rude not to come. So she comes, and she runs into Bart Ottamas.


And despite what she told him as well as Richard back in college, she finds that she misses him. She misses Bart a lot. She thinks that she may love him as well. The though scares her, so she gets up and grabs another beer. Love or not, she's staying single for a long time.





It seems that Zac Burrego has had one to many drinks and decides to strip in his daughter's bath room to pleasure himself.





And it's not his wife that's got him all hot and bothered! Well, at least he's keeping it to his head and hand and not trying to cheat.




Ariel and Davon Christian get into it. They might have had too much to drink as well.

Bell sits on the couch and watches as the ball count down begins. She laughs to herself, maybe Ariel shouldn't drink so much then she wouldn't have tired to kiss Davon. he ball drops and New York erupts in "Happy New Year!" Everyone in the apartment cheers and screams as well. Welcome to the new year of 2012.

notes from GB: You know I just realized that that's AJ not Davon. Ops. Bell invited the wrong Christian boy. See this is what I get for playing this update at 5 in the morning and sleepy. I never noticed it even when she was calling to invite everyone to the party. *sigh* So just act like that Davon.

Now it all clicks. I was wondering why he and Eva weren't their normal all over each other selves. Now I know. LOL

A white wedding?

December, Winter 2011, Zayilla Burrego and Christopher Shahan are both 32 and Bri is 13.




Zayilla and Christopher's big day finally came. Everyone that they were still close with are invited.

It's going to be a small ceremony held in the back yard of their house. Nothing fancy, just family, friends and fun.

Something in the air

Zayilla Burrego and Christopher Shahan are both 32 and Bri is 13.




Ever since Bri entered junior/senior high school she's been walking around with a chip on her shoulder. Zayilla tries to confront her about it, but it seems to only put Bri off.


Like talking to her mother is such a pain. She just stares at her with a blank look, as if she doesn't hear a single word that is coming out of her mother's mouth.





This angers Zayilla. "What is your problem, Bri. I'm not your enemy. I'm your mother. I only want to know what's going on with you."





Bri trusts her finger in the air. "You wouldn't understand if I told you." She shouts.


And for Bri her mother wouldn't. There are so many changes that are starting to take hold of her and, she has no one to talk to about this. And it's way embarrassing to discuss this with her mom or her dad. She just wants to be left alone.





Both are frustrated and Bri acts as if her finger nails are the most interesting thing she's ever seen in a long while. With a frustrated sigh, Zayilla tells her daughter that dinner will be ready in an hour.





When dinner is ready Bri takes her plate from the table and announces that she will be eating in her room. Zayilla doesn't offer mush resistance and when Christopher questions her she only waves him off. "Not sure if you've noticed but me and your daughter haven't been getting along."




"Don't take it to heart. She's a teen and a girl. It's what they do. Trust me. Growing up in a house with three older sisters I'm kinda an expert on these things. She'll come to you when she's ready."


Zayilla only nods her head. She sure doesn't remember acting like this when she was a teen.





She gets up to take her plate to the kitchen.


"Now that Bri is back in school maybe we should focus on setting a wedding date." Christopher says.


It causes Zayilla to pause in her step. She hadn't given much thought to their pending nuptials. Christ proposed so long ago, Bri was still in grade school. This causes Zayilla to frown.


Just why hasn't she given any thought to actually setting the date? It wasn't as if they were getting any younger and she loved her man. So then what was the hold up?



Christopher enters the kitchen with his own plate. he drops it gently into the sink before scooping his girl up into a romantic hug.


"What's gotten you twisted up in knots." He mumbles as he places kisses along the column of her neck. It causing Zayilla to giggle like a school girl. So he continues doing it. Fearful of her answer.


He hasn't pressed the marriage issue, let her move at her own pace. But it's hard to miss the cloud of uncertainly that spreads across her face every time he brings up setting a wedding date.

Zayilla kisses him soundly on the lips. She loves this man. She loves him with all her being. She loves the boy who stole her heart in college. She loves the man who fathered her daughter. She loves everything about him. And surprisingly she gets the answer to her question.

"Winter. This winter. Let's get married this winter." She says around a kiss. He pulls back from her, looking into her eyes.

She smiles.

He smiles. "Are you sure?"

"Couldn't be more sure." She answers back.

notes from GB: This is really my fault. I kept putting their wedding off for the "right moment" and when I entered their house to play I realized that they are the longest engaged couple in my game. Christopher asked Zayilla to marry him when Bri was only in the 4th grade I think. So it's about time this is happening. LOL So look for a mini update this winter for them. The wedding date is December of 2011.

As for Bri. Not sure if you remember me talking about the messed up face with Marcus Brooks. Well it struck Bri too on her home lot. So while it looks as if she's smiling in all those pics with her mother they were actually arguing. I hope to have her mouth fixed soon. If not, I really don't know how to fix it.

Those College Days

Spring 2009, Bret Patrelli and Ariel Burrego are 21, Alex Burrego-Patrelli is 1





Ariel had a suspicion that she was pregnant last year, but wasn't 100% sure. But it wasn't until she started to show that she really knew.

After finding out she and Bret moved to the university's family house units. Each unit provided two bedrooms, which were tiny. A small kitchen and living room. Ariel couldn't wait to graduate and get the hell out of there. But once baby Alex was born, she quickly forgot about the small place.

The goal now for Bret and Ariel was to obtain the best grades possible so they could provide a good life for the budding family.





One thing that scared Ariel was telling her parents. She was going to as soon as she had truly found out, but then their family house burned down. She didn't want to as insult to injury. Not that being pregnant and unmarried was something bad in their family.

Heck, if stories were true her great aunts both were unmarried and had had children outside of marriage. Well, that's what archives from Apple Valley had stated.

But she didn't tell them until her final trimester, and now it was time to invite them over to met their first grandchild.



"I'm Grandma! Yes I am." Jodie cooed to Alex. She adored him. He was perfect in every way, and his little freckles were to die for. She figured they must have come from Bret's side of the family, and little Alex's pale skin as well.





Bret was nervous meeting Ariel's parents. The last time he had seen them was Freshmen year, when they had come to visit their girls. This was before he and Ariel started seeing each other.

"Don't worry Mr. Burrgeo. I plan to do right by your daughter. I want to make it legal one day."

"You want to make it legal? One day? You should have thought about that before you went and knocked up my daughter!"

Zac wasn't normally a fighting kind of man, he was very reserved. A peace loving man, but this boy, this Bret, made him want to knock that smug off his face. Little shit that he was. This was the exact reason why he didn't want his little girls going off to college and living on campus. Because of creeps like Bret.

And in all truthfulness, he never though in his wildest dreams that Ariel would be the one having a baby while still in school. He had always thought that would go to Bell. She was the rebel of the two when they were teens. Ariel was the studious one, who never wore black make-up and dyed her hair. But this was something he would just have to live with.

"You didn't have to be like that!" Ariel said to her dad.

"Like what?" He hadn't looked away from the baby yet.

"You know what you did dad, and you're wrong. Bret is a good guy. And I love him. Just give him a chance... for me." But Ariel's dad didn't respond.

The first few months flew by quickly, and little Alex turned one. He had grown so fast, and was becoming more handsome by the minute.

Bret adored his son, and wouldn't trade this for anything in the world. Even though he and Ariel were young and still in school, they both had good heads on their shoulders. They were doing extremely well in school, and he had a wonderful internship at the museum. It even paid pretty well, and he was saving all of it. They might even be able to afford a house upon graduation.

Ariel also spent all her free time with Alex. He was a very bright toddler. She was hoping that he'd take after her side of the family. She comes from a long line of very intelligent people. Not saying that Bret's family aren't smart, just not as smart as hers.

And to prove just how smart he was. Alex spoke his first word, very complex for a 13 month old. Chair. Ariel was proud.

It didn't fit in with the update, but for some reason the nanny hates Bret. I have no idea why. They never talk or anything. He gave her a $25 tips once, which she was really happy about. Maybe because he doesn't tip her anymore??? I have no idea.

As for little Alex and his skin tone. Yes, he is Bret's son, lol. Ariel has only been with him. I think since his mom has one of my lightest skins, and it has freckles too, the game used another light skin with freckles for the baby. I was shocked. I though he would have tan skin. Goes to show how genetics just pop up when they want.)
