Family Affair

"I really enjoy getting up in the morning now to fix breakfast and to start the day. It's because of my awesome new kitchen. Bart and I were able to save up a small amount of money for a down payment on this house.

Good thing too, since I'm expecting again, plus, with Tandi's birthday coming up. She and Shaw can't share a bedroom for ever."






"I never have to worry about getting them up in the mornings either. Shaw springs out of bed as soon as he hears me heading for the kitchen. He's still very excited about heading off to school each morning. And Tandi, she's just excited about play time with her brother before he's gone off to learn.

Since her birthday is late in the year she won't be starting school until next year, and right now Tandi views the school as this magical place that Shaw disappear to during the day. I hope she isn't scared once she starts school."




"I recently got over that nasty flu that's been going around. I though I had dodged the bullet when I didn't come down with symtoms after visiting my mom for Founder's Day. Bart got sick though, and of course once he was better I got sick.

I'm just glad that I'm finally well and can throw Tandi a birthday party."





"Everyone started to arrive a few minutes after Shaw got home from school. I started to feel a bit nervous though."






"My morning sickness just isn't happening in the morning with this pregnancy. I'm sick all the time, morning, noon, and night. I just hope I can kep things together long enough not to ruine the birthday festivites."




"My father-in-law, that sounds so funny to say. Dominic is my father-in-law. *giggle* But he really enjoyed the look of the cake. He told me that he couldn't wait to dig into it.

I didn't tell him, but I think he needs to watch what he's putting into his mouth. I think he's gained more weight than my mom during her pregnancy!"




"Bart and Sharla act like big kids once they get together, and Tandi's party didn't change a thing. He usually starts things off by pranking her. She acts as if she is disgusted and hates what he does."




"But she'll turn around and prank him back. It's all in good fun!"





"She and Rupert spent the majority of their time making out. I get the feeling that Mrs. Ottamas would like to see Rupert make an honest woman out of Sharla, but I really don't see that happening anytime soon. Heck, I don't see that happening at all with those two."





"Soon it was time to sing happy birth day and cut the cake. Everyone gathered into the kitchen. I will have to say I was very surprised. The kitchen is a good size for our family, but fitting our extended family in there was a real feet."





"Tandi wasn't as amazed by that like I was, she was more into getting her hands into her cake."





"Poor mary-Beth, she missed out on the singing, but her mom found her and fed her some cake."





"The party soon came to an end though. Jordan seems to be next in the family to suffer from the flu. I hope she feels better."

I forgot to get a close up of Tandi after she aged up, but here she is. And just like her dad and her brother, her hobby is games. Bart got her a handheld for her birthday, just like he did with Shaw. So now when she gets up in the morning she plays her games until Shaw gets out of the bathroom.


I may seem like a nerd but I'm so happy that they were able to save enough money (which was super hard for them) to move out of the trailer park and but a home. They will be paying this house of for years, but it's well worth it. Eventhough the house is only a 2 bed room and one bath, as a wedding gift from both their parents, they will be getting some money to renovate the house. Still not sure if I'm going to add a second floor or just expand the first.

Their next update will be their wedding. I had so much fun playing that. Can't wait to get it posted!

And sorry if this update seems all over the place. I actually played and did all the pics while I was still "sick" so I forgot why I took a few of the pics. LOL

Oh, and before I forget, I think Samantha really wants Rupert and Sharla to tie the knot. Everythime she's around them all she does is stare at Rupert. Not swoon like the majority of ladies, but just stare. Or maybe she just doesn't like him. I'm not sure at this point.
