She Blinded Me with Magic

July, Summer 2016, Zayllia and Christopher Shahan both are 36,  Bri is 17, Willow and Seth both are 4. Last update.

"Wow! Time really does fly, and it's not only when you're having fun. Not that the twins aren't fun, but when they were toddlers they were a handful. Now they are four and will be heading off to school this fall. It's a little bitter sweet. I'm glad to see them growing up, but with them entering school, it means that Bri will soon be leaving, and moving out.

I look at them and it's hard to believe that Bri was their age, just as tiny and ready to set off into the big world of public school education. Sometimes I wish my mom and dad where here to see them. But at least I have my brother."

"Chris has found out that I'm back practicing Wicca. He's not too thrilled but he's accepting my decision. He just doesn't want me to involve the kids in my practices. Which I think is a bunch of crap, but I'll let them decide when they get older."

Photobucket

"And speaking of older. Man, when did Bri become such an outstanding young woman? It's like this change happened over night, she was just a little baby I brought home from the hospital, and now she sits before me with Marcus, disusing possible majors that she can take in college. Talk about making me feel old!"

Photobucket

"But I don't feel old for too long. Chris keeps me young!"

Photobucket

"And I was super happy that we finally had enough money saved to redo the house. I decorated everything, from the living room to our bed rooms. And I have some more money set aside for when Bri moves out and Willow takes over her room. I know she's going to want to redo it."

Photobucket

"And all the old stuff we had, instead of it sitting in our basement collecting dust. I decided to hold a garage sale."

Photobucket

"I had quite the turn out. My sister-in-law, Jodi even stopped by for a visit. I told her she didn't have to buy anything. She is always welcome to pick through what I don't want or need. She laughed though, telling me she enjoys a good garage sale once in a while."

Photobucket

"All in all I sold the majority of our "junk", and made a pretty penny too boot. The rest will just have to go back in the basement."

Photobucket

"Chris surprised me with a nice night out. We haven't done this in ages. At least before the twins where born. So we had a good time."

Photobucket

"Until he had to ruin things with a snide remake on witches. I can't even remember the whole argument. I just know I was put off for a long while. We ate the rest of our meal in silence."

Photobucket

"But being the bigger of the two I refused to let our night go to waste on anger. So we agreed to discuss the matter at a later time and just to enjoy each other."

Photobucket

"Bri stayed home to watch the twins. She said not to worry about dinner, that she had it covered."

Photobucket

"Since she works I know she makes her own money, and I know she also has no problem spending it on the family. So whatever she decided to do for dinner I know the twins will be thrilled!"

Photobucket

"When we returned home they were finishing up Chinese. I'm not big on take out, or at least not since I became a mom, but one night isn't going to hurt."

Photobucket

"So while we cleaned up for the night Chris started to repair the down computer. The only computer in the house, so it's a necessity to have it working. I don't know what happened, one second he's troubleshooting the problem..."

Photobucket

"And the next he's being fried! We were so worried. I thought Seth was going to break down into tears right there. Worse still, I thought Chris was going to drop dead!

Photobucket

"He didn't, thank God. But the computer burst into flames and so did our desk! And the silly thing is, all I could think about was the hard work I put into redecorating the house. And how the flames could destroy all of it. Talk about priorities not in order!"

Photobucket

"My man is quick on his feet, and quickly put out the flames. Saving the day!"

Photobucket

"I'm just thankful that no one was hurt. He may be a little toasty, and a bit sore for the next couple of days, but he's at least alive. And I wouldn't want it any other way."

***

I have never ever had a computer cause a fire like that! But it did. It caught fire then the desk. Christopher quickly put it out, but I thought he was a goner for sure. And I'm sitting there thinking they just had a fight about her being a witch and now he's going to die. I'm glad he didn't though! And so is Zayllia!

Other than the fire not much happened. Oh, I had my first garage sale. I've been meaning to do once since I started this blog back in 2007, and I finally did in 2012. LOL I was along time coming, but worth it. I'm going to have to do one again!

  1. It makes sense that Zayilla is dabbling in Wicca since her mother was one strange woman, who probably killed their father.

  2. Apple, I wish that mystery could be answered. Did she or didn't she kill their dad. I can't wait to see if any of their kids might be interested in it as well. Thanks for taking the time to read and comment.

  3. Oh my gosh, I don't think I've ever seen a computer burst into flames like that either! I'm going to be careful next time I have one of my Sims attempting to repair a computer (or anything, lol).

It somehow escaped my attention that Zayllia and Chris would have been so young when they had Bri. They're in about the same position as Victoria and Finn. They'll be 37 with a 17-year-old going off to college next time I play them. I'm glad they've been able to do such a great job with Bri. It's a credit to them that she's so mature, thinking about her future options and everything.

  4. I'm glad he didn't die!! Sheesh! I've never seen that! I find it interesting you're having Zayllia practice Wicca, I can see why Chris wouldn't be a fan and not want her peddling it to the kids, still I wonder what they'll think (and do) when they're older.

  5. Holy crap, a computer fire! At least no one was hurt.

Selling off their old things is such a neat idea! I never even considered that. How cool! I definitely miss being able to have businesses/etc in that sense. There doesn't seem to be an end to the possibilities!

  6. Carla, That was a new one for me as well. I had to pause the game and go to my hacks folder to see of I downloaded anything that would cause that. Nope, it just happened. I hope it never does that again! Yes, make sure they are careful. LOL Honestly, he didn't do anything different. It just electrocuted him then caught fire.

You know until you pointed that I it hadn't dawned on me either. Yeah Zayllia got knocked up her senior year of college, and had Bri right before she graduated. To bad Finn and Bri don't live in the same town, maybe they would have dated.

Maisie, This game never stops with the surprises, even after all these years of playing. Who would have thought that the computer could do that! Zayllia actually started practicing Wicca right out of college, she rolled the want. Also, her mother (back in Apple Valley) is a Wiccan, but she fell into the dark magics. So I want to see where this take Zayllia. Chris really is against this. He has the want of her becoming normal again, and he also has the fear of becoming a Warlock. LOL

Mao, Yes, I'm glad no one died. Because I really thought that Chris was a goner. That would have been so messed up too!

I've always wanted to do a garage sell. I know Simmington Hills did one a long time back, and I think Sullivan did one or two as well. It was really fun! That's one thing I miss in Sims 3 also. Own-able businesses.

Thanks for taking the time to read and comment guys!

  7. I didn't know a computer could catch fire when repaiting it! I'm glad Chris didn't die while fixing it!
