Sorry I haven't gotten the next update out. I've just been swamped with house work, the kids, my husband has been sick, and then that recent scare with my game. But I am working on it.
Just, my husband has been sick, like really sick for the past 2.5 weeks. I knew something wasn't right, I mean almost 13 years of marriage you kinda learn when something isn't right with that person. I kinda guessed he had diabetes, since he was presenting those symptoms, and of course, being a man he wouldn't listen to me. LOL
Well Friday it reach the boiling point. He's gotten so small, lost 20lbs. or more, and he was moving like a zombie, he wasn't responding to me when I spoke to him. So after dropping the kids off at school and cleaning up a little I decided that enough was enough and I told him that we were going to the ER. But he was so weak by this point (11:30 am) that he couldn't even walk, couldn't get up off the couch. So I called 911.
The paramedics came took his blood pressure, it was extremely low. I told them that he might be diabetic (he has it on both sides of his family) and they took his glucose. It was so high that the machine couldn't read it.
So basically to make a looooong story short, they've gotten everything under control. He's much better now, still in the hospital though. Hopefully he'll be home either tomorrow or Tuesday. They were talking about today, but they want to get his levels as low as possible.
But through all of this I have been trying to get this update finished with. It's driving me crazy. So just a bit longer guys and I'll have something posted for you all to read! :)

Oh, honey :( My heart just sank when I read this. But I'm so glad you guys found out what was wrong in time! I hope he recovers quickly, and lots of hugs for you!
ReplyDeleteDon't worry about updating unless it makes you feel better.
I echo Laura, take the time to be with your husband and children. Riverdale will gladly wait for their master.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely take your time! Do what you need to do for your family and Riverdale will still be there when you're ready to play and we'll all be ready to read it. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad they have everything under control and that your husband is feeling better. How frightening that must have been for you! All the best to you and your family!
Wow that's frightening. I'm glad he's in the hospital getting the care he needs right now. I hope he'll be home soon.
ReplyDeleteNo worries on the update! I'll be here to read when it's up. **hugs** I imagine it's difficult on you and the kids with your husband in the hospital.
Oh, wow, I'm so glad they've gotten things under control now! Why can't men ever listen to their wives?? ;) Take all the time you need to take care of your family!
ReplyDeleteAww, thanks guys! I'm actually playing since it helps relax me, until those sims start doing what they want. He is getting better but they aren't sure when he's coming home. If I remember correctly he has type 1, which is worse than type 2. And right now his numbers are up in the mid 300's. So once they get them stable then he'll be home. So just a heads up, I have no idea how much longer I'll be online. LOL With him being the only one working and he's self employed we used up our small savings while he was sick these past weeks. So If you all don't here from me, I will be back hopefully soon.
ReplyDeleteI know we've talked on the phone a few times since this all happened, but I wanted to comment here for record's sake...*smiles* I love you dearly and I'm so thankful that your hubby has finally come home. You know I went through this ordeal with my hubby a couple years ago, so I know how stressful it is and how scary it is.
ReplyDeleteYou have all of our love and support. We're your Sims 2 family. :P Don't worry about posting, like everyone said...we'll definitely be here to read it when you get it done.
That must have been frightening. I'm glad he's doing better now and is getting the right treatment. Take all the time you need, we're not going anywhere :)
