mini-update
It's the final week of school and everyone is getting ready to head back home for summer break. Mary plans to finish packing up her bed room and maybe take a course or two over the summer for extra credit. She's so lost in thought that she doesn't hear the screaming coming from across the hall until a moment or two later.
It's Nora who is screaming. It causes AJ to wake from a deep slumber, he's the first to run into her room.
"What's wrong?" He asks rubbing the sleep from his eyes.
"I don't know. Just get Mary. She's like studying to be a doctor or something." Nora yells back.
AJ doesn't need to go wake her since she's already running into the room.
"What's wrong?"
"I... I don't know. I just hurt!" Nora cries.
Neither get another chance to ask questions because things happen so fast. Nora collapse back onto her bed. "It feels like I'm splitting in two."
Mary runs over and examines her. The look of shock is clear upon her face. She turns to AJ and tells him to call 911.
"Umm, Nora, did you know you were pregnant?"
"WHAT!?"
Mary takes that as a clear "no." "Listen, I need you to push, okay."
By the time AJ makes it back from calling 911 Nora has given birth to a baby girl. I think Mary is quit pleased with herself. She's delivered a baby and is only in her first year of school! Nora on the other hand isn't looking to happy.
Say hello to little Ebony Reed. Three weeks early but she's healthy!

notes from GB: Yes, this was a complete shock to me. I had no idea Nora was even pregnant until her second trimester. She had no symptoms at all. No morning sickness no sleepiness. The only thing she had was extra hunger, but I figured it was because I starve my college kids. I have them doing so much (parting) that I let them eat only twice a day, once in the morning and once at night. So to find Nora stuffing her face wasn't a surprise.
Plus, with all the drama that Castor caused I figured she's eat her broken heart away. But that's how she put on the extra weight, all that eating. As for not telling you all about the pregnancy. B;am it on "I didn't know I was pregnant," that comes on Discovery Health.
Since Nora wasn't sick or anything and the outfit that she was wearing when her stomach should have popped didn't have a maternity mesh I decided that she wouldn't know. So she didn't know that she was pregnant. Just chalked it up to the freshman 15.
If you do the math, she got pregnant that night on the rug with Castor, so yes, he is the baby's daddy. Her first time. I was so surprised. Seriously, she is my first sim to get pregnant after losing her virginity. LOL Normally they have to do it at least three times if not on birth control.
I still have no idea what she's going to do with the baby. But she'll have to make a decision before school starts back. That means I need to get to rolling some dice.
And she really doesn't look happy about the baby. Even in the load screen she's holding Ebony like she's some kind of virus. Poor girl.
Aw, I think she just needs some time to adjust, the poor kid!

Wow, Nora. There's always adoption as well. Wow. Maybe now she can appear on that show as an update :P
ReplyDeleteOoO!! I've seen that show you're talking about! OH wow. Nora! She's got a heavy decision to make. Poor girl looks so distraught. I really feel for her. That night is gonna stick with her for the rest of her life.
ReplyDeleteCarla, yeah, I think you're right. She needs time. It's a big deal to have a baby thrust on you and you didn't even know you were expecting.
ReplyDeleteI love that show too. I have a friend who didn't know she was pregnant with her son. Other than needing her prom dress taken out in the hips she never showed. Tummy was flat as a board the whole time.

Simmington, I agree! I really feel for Nora, so much has happened to her in such a small amount of time.
Oh, wow! What a surprise to get early one morning! Poor Nora, she has a big decision to make. But maybe she'll feel better about everything once she has time to adjust to the idea of what's happened.
