Narrated by Emma
We've added a new member to our little family, Rusty. She's been a handful to say the least.
Chewing up furniture....
And peeing where pee shouldn't be! Though, Harmony finds it very funny and entertaining. But that's a toddler for you!
And between the dog and Harmony with all of her demands, my mind is always someplace else.
Which leads to a lot of burnt dinners recently.
The pizza guy knows us by name now. Lars is super happy about having the doughy goodness every other night. I, on the other hand, am not.
I do get a small break once Waylon is home though. School has recently started back, but he spends extra time with Lars on his reading and math. The boy is in second grade this year, we want him to be top of his class!
Also, since school has started back, that means filed trips. Lars' class as well as the first grade and kindergarten classes want to go to the the zoo. They decided to pay for it themselves, with help from the school of course.
They voted and decided that a bake sale would be awesome. Not so awesome for me though. I may know my way around a kitchen, but baked goods are not my thing. I get a little help from my friend, Betty Crocker.
It's nice to see Fatima there, her oldest, Alani, is in first grade this year. So she will be going on the field trip as well. Fatima isn't to happy about her donation for the sale, and she goes on and on about it.
She made tiramisu; from scratch! Do you know how complicated that is? And with kids hanging around? Man, that woman has skills. I think she might have the best dessert here.
Makes my "from the box" cake look like dog chow. The only thing that's "from scratch" on mine are the strawberries.
One of the teacher's overseas the bake sale. Making sure that no little fingers steal icing, or cake for that matter. But they children are all around, very excited!
I meet someone new. A Simone Lewis. Her son just started kindergarten this year.
She brought a cheesecake with berries on top. Oh, it looks so delicious. If I weren't watching my figure I'd eat the whole thing. Come to find out the cake is her mother's recipe. And her mom is none other than Samantha Patrelli. She owns Cafe Mode. That really breaks down my wheel power. I have to buy a slice now!
She also tells me that she's pregnant with baby number three. I'm super surprised that she managed to even bake a cake. When I was pregnant with both my kids I could hardly stand the smell of food, let along cook it.
Later that night when Waylon get's home, he asks Lars how the sale went. Of course to him it went great!
After Lars leaves the table after dinner, Waylon asks me how it went. I tell him the truth, the bake sale went off without a hitch. The kids are very excited about their trip to the zoo.
If I didn't have Harmony at home with me I would have volunteered to go with them, to help watch over the little rug rats.
Waylon laughs. And promises to make a day for all of us to go for a visit.
We know that it takes both parents to raise a child, and that also goes for their education. So Waylon and I take turns on that as well with Lars. So while I'm upstairs with him.
Waylon is busy with Harmony. She really is a "daddy's girl" and has him wrapped around her little finger.
And we make sure to spend time with each other once they are asleep.
I guess something is on his mind when I come out the bathe room later that night. Waylon hardly waits up for me on weeknights since he gets up early in the morning for work.
He brings up the subject of adopting Lars. He wants to know what I think about it.
Honestly, I think it's a wonderful idea. Though, I have no idea how Rupert will react. It would be easier to convince him if he wasn't such an active parent in Lars' life.
That's when Waylon drops the B-bomb on me. He wants to revisit our discussion on having another baby.
It's been a year since we last talked about it. I've even gone on birth control. It may not be permanent, but it has prevented any unplanned surprises. Plus, I still want to open up my dance studio when we get enough money.
This leaves him very unhappy.
I ask him not to be mad. But did he really expect me to change my mind? I'm done with kids. Heck, we even added a dog in the mix. Isn't that enough?
I toss the pillows off the bed and lay down. Waylon stays up after me. I hate it when he's mad with me.
The next morning he's still not speaking with me. I think even Lars can sense that something isn't right between us. But we don't like to fight in front of the kids. We hardly every fight, but when we do, we keep it between the two of us.
I'm playing with Rusty when it hits me. Maybe Waylon is back on this baby kick because of Lars. Maybe he's afraid that Rupert won't allow him to adopt Lars - which is a huge possibility - and he sees having another baby as the solution. Getting the son that he's never had.
So I bring this up to him. Questioning his motives behind wanting another baby.
At first he's quiet.
Then he turns to me in all seriousness. He explains that my assumption is not the reason why he wants another child with me. Honestly, he could care less if Rupert refused with the adoption. He loves Lars with his whole heart, and he doesn't need some slip of paper to state that he is his son. Lars is his no matter what.
He loves me, and it's only natural that he would want to home more children with me. And we make the loveliest of babies to boot.
Which is true! Harmony is the cutie pie child that I've ever seen. Well, I should say female child, because Lars is pretty handsome himself.
I don't know what it is. Maybe the way he explained his logical. Or maybe because we did make a pretty awesome daughter. But I tell him that I might be persuaded to change my mind on the no more babies idea. But I still want to open my dance studio.
Well, before we even got to trying to make a new baby, Waylon came down with something nasty. It started out with a fever.
But by the time he was ready to leave for work his sinus hurt.
And he was coughing something fierce. I called into his job for him and told him he was off for at least a week while he got better.
I made sure that he got plenty of rest.
And the kids and I enjoyed the great Fall weather. It's wonderful right now, not to hot, and not to cold. It's just right. I wish all the seasons could be this mild!
But I also have to keep the kids out of the house since Waylon likes to strip down to his birthday suite do to his fevers. He get so hot and sweaty that you have to peel the clothing off of him.
After a week and a half he was finally better. I was so thrilled!
This is what made Waylon roll the "have baby" want. He was watching Emma and Harmony play, and his wants rerolled with the baby one. I thought it was sweet. Plus, that's all he keeps talking about. Baby this, and, baby that. He has baby fever. LOL
Waylon also rolled the Pneumonia ROS. He was supposed to go to hospital, but it wasn't ready. So I had him stay home.
And a new one for me, he and Emma were woohooing like mad while he was sick. Normally when my sims are sick woohoo is the last thing on their mind. And, no one else got sick! YAY!
I didn't write this in because it happened at the last minute, but Emma is pregnant. I didn't think it was going to happen at all. They tried for baby at least eight times and nothing. So the last five minutes of me playing their house, they jumped in bed, and BAM, she got pregnant. Baby Menon is due June 2016.
