Riverdale Jr. and Sr. High School built 2013

Photobucket

Okay, so here goes my new junior and senior high school. I'm really proud of this. For me this is something amazing. LOL I normally build a box style building, if it be a house, a business, a park, you get the idea. So this, I'm really, really happy with. I hope you enjoy the pics!

So this is the front view of the school. It's a cheerful school (or so I hope) and that's why it's that wonderful bright green color.

Photobucket

The old welcome school sign has been salvaged and placed in front of the new building. Thanks to Simmington Hills, who made me this sign way back in 2007 when I first started Riverdale.

Photobucket

The entry to the school, with a view of the administration office. Signs are posted to let students, teachers and, visitors know that Riverdale Jr/Sr High is a safe zone, being drug free as well as smoke free.

Photobucket

Welcome to the administration office. It's the first place all visitors will enter upon entering the school. This is also where all new students must come to enroll for their education.

Photobucket

This is the secretary's desk. She's here to welcome visitors, to write late passes for tardy students, and to announce to the Principal when their are pupils waiting to speak with him.

Photobucket

Another shot of her desk just because I like it. LOL

Photobucket

A few chairs for seating as you wait to be seen by the Principal.

Photobucket

This is the lost and found nook. Lose something look here first!

Photobucket

This is the single bathroom in the admin. office.

Photobucket

The nurse's office is also located in the admin. office as well. There is a small cot for sick students to rest on.

Photobucket

And the nurse's "station," or desk. You can see some contraceptives sitting there. It's all part of a new sexual education program in the school. Many parents are against it but prevention is better then a flood of teen mothers and fathers.

Photobucket

This is the Principal's office. This is the view that he sees when speaking with students and sometimes parents.

Photobucket

This is the view students see.

Photobucket

The main hall after entering the school. The main entrance is on the West side of the school, where the administration office is located as well as the auditorium and the cafeteria.

Photobucket

The award display case, showing off all the awards won by the sports teams.

Photobucket

The view from the outside of the auditorium.

Photobucket

The view from the stage. The funky carpet is said to keep the teens awake and alert during gatherings.

Photobucket

Here is the cafeteria, stainless steel gives it a sleek and clean look.

Photobucket

Drink and snack machines as well as a change machine.

Photobucket

One last pic of the cafeteria.

Photobucket

There is no gym in this school but the kids won't miss it. As long as they have a basket ball hoop (which they almost didn't get.) And some nice greenery for students who don't like to play B-ball.

Photobucket

And some sitting area.

Photobucket

The hall that connect the West side of the school to the East, where all the classes are located.

Photobucket

Before I forget, next to the hall there is a post it board on display. Here is where students can get all current activities that are happening in the school. Oh, and if you've noticed that the school is carpeted, that's because here where I live, the suburban schools have carpeting. ;)

Photobucket

Entering the East side of the school you'll find the library. There are six computers, though they may look old they have all there is to offer for knowledge gaining. (Thanks Monique's hacked pc.)

Photobucket

The bookshelves and sitting area for students who want to read instead of surfing the web.

Photobucket

Next to the library is the main bathrooms. And drinking fountains!

Photobucket

I warn you I have a lot of bathroom spam because I love these downloads that I found! The soap dispenser and paper towel. How cool are they!

Photobucket

And if you're in need of a tampon this machine has you covered!

Photobucket

And a nifty paper seat cover and bar to help you get up if you get stuck.

Photobucket

And the ever present toilet paper dispenser and small trash can.

Photobucket

The boys have the same thing minus the small trash can and tampon machine. ;)

Photobucket

The hall way leading to the class rooms.

Photobucket

This is the combined 7th and 8th grade class room. They get the lovely view looking out onto the enclosed court yard. (Lucky kids!)

Photobucket

Another angle of their class, notice the teacher's desk. It was the smallest class room, so the teacher, sadly, has to suffer with the smallest desk.

Photobucket

This is the combined 9th and 10th grade class.

Photobucket

And their teacher's desk. All teacher's will be able to accessorize their work space once school starts.

Photobucket

Here is the teacher's desk in the 11th and 12th grades class room.

Photobucket

And another angle of their class as well.

Photobucket

Here is the art room. Students can learn how to paint. There is also a self for those special student's who's piece of art or picked to be put on display.

Photobucket

If painting isn't your thing you can learn how to make a plate using the pottery wheel.

Photobucket

The wash station. Have to keep everything clean and tidy.

Photobucket

The music room where students can beat away on the drums, ping on the piano...

Photobucket

Or scratch out a toon on the violin. The synthesizer is a good tool to work with too, so I've heard.

Photobucket

And last but not least is the shop room. There are two work benches...

Photobucket
And two flower stations.

Well, that's the school I hope you enjoyed the tour. Classes will begin September 2013.

  1. The school is INCREDIBLE! I love the office, the nurse's station, the signs, and of course, having some tech rooms like flower arranging in a secondary school.

    Have you considered uploading it?

  2. Awww, that means so much to me that you like it! I was actually nervous with sharing the pictures, but then again you guys would see it in updates anyway. LOL

I haven't thought about uploading and sharing it. Maybe I will. Of course I'll have to load a copy of the lot into my test hood and add all maxis items. I hate long CC lists, maybe I'll leave a few CC in and post links to them.

  3. It looks amazing! I'm in the process of building an elementary school (I downloaded a high school and I'm just going to redecorate it to my tastes), but it definitely won't look as good as this! It really looks wonderful!

  4. The school looks amazing! So many great ideas and I love all the bright colors.

I want to renovate my schools so badly now!

May I ask where you got the students' desks? They look familiar but I don't think I have them.

  5. Mizz Gin, thanks! I can't wait to see your school too! You will give us a tour, right? If not I will bug you til no end. LOL

Sari, thank you! I'm glad everyone likes the school. You all are giving my building skills a boost. LOL

The set is by Sandy at Around the Sims, she made one for sims 1,2, and 3. And she's also put them in a nice little folder and made them buyable on community lots!

  7. Oh, this looks wonderful! I'm so impressed!

Weirdly, I think what I love the most are your hallways. They're very open and clean and I love all the glass doors so you can peek into the classrooms and other rooms.

At most schools here, the classrooms are carpeted but the hallways are all linoleum. Sullivan's school, with the wood floors, was all my imagination! LOL.

  8. Thanks, Carla! It's not weird, I actually love the halls too!

  9. Ooh, now you've given me inspiration to finish my high school. I'm out of order. I built my two universities, then my primary school. Thankfully, the semester is almost over with and I can get back to building my hood and more importantly, posting. In game, I've played up to the second year on my first round, but on the site, I'm still in the Pre-Round.

Looking at your school, I now gotta do some CC hunting for all the school deco. I don't think I have too much posters and such.

    Good job!

  10. GIRRRL, you put your 'thug-thizzle' on this one!! You know what I'm sayyin?! OMGOODNESS!

I LOVE every bit of it! When I saw that hallway with all the yellow lockers, I just oozed with happiness, it's so bright and fun and CUTE!!

I love all the details!! And the OUTSIDE is wayyyyy cool! Beautiful landscaping...I didn't know you had that in you. LOL!

And, I'm happy you chose that color green for the exterior! It's such a cool color that pops. The school looks totally fresh and contemporary.

And can I say how nice those windows are too?! AV made WilTech for me with those windows, and I just love them!

  12. Laurel Crossing, This is my third high school, so you are not alone. I build one way back when I first started playing Riverdale. At the time I thought it would be big enough for the children. I had no idea my sims would breed like rabbits.

The majority of my downloads came from MTS, so start there. Also TSR. ;)

I want a tour of your schools too!

Simmington, Girl, I got MaD SkiLLz! ROFL I channeled my sim 1 days. I used to decorate the heck out of that game. I have no idea why I lost it. The 3d-ness of the game threw me for a loop. ROFL

So this is what contemporary is. You know I have no clue about that kind of stuff.

Shana, Thank you! I love the bathroom downloads too. I think when I play the lot I will be in there a lot. ROFL
