Three is enough

August, Summer 2014, Emma Menon is 37, Walylon is 36, Lars is 6, and Harmony is 1. Last update.

"If someone asked me what I would say about my life, I would tell them that's it pretty sweet."

Photobucket

"I have a beautiful home. A handsome and articulate son, who, by the way, enjoys my cooking very much. And a loving and devoted husband."

Photobucket

"I also have a beautiful baby girl, who means the world to me."

Photobucket

"But there is something lacking. I want more. I want what I had before the kids. Before the husband. Even before my home."

Photobucket

"That itch is deep down inside and it wants to get out. I search the internet when Harmony is down for her nap and Lars is at summer camp or with his dad. But as of yet, I haven't found what I've been looking for."

Photobucket

"And it grates on my nerves. Because I'll 100% bored! There's nothing do around the house. I mean, between cooking for my boys, and girl..."

Photobucket

"And changing diapers."

Photobucket

"All that's left is to eat. Which is not good since I'm super scared about gaining weight. Extra pounds for me is a huge No, No."

Photobucket

"So I tell Waylon my problem, and my solution as well."

Photobucket
"He doesn't get it though. He can't understand my need to work once more. He suggests that I get out of the house more, meet new people. Join a 'Mommy and Me,' club with Harmony."

Photobucket

"I have gotten out, meet new people. Fatima Sanchez was her name, she lives next door to us, and is a mother of three. We have a little in common, and she is nice. But it's not enough."

Photobucket

"I adore Lars, but one can only listen to soccer competitions for so long."

Photobucket

"And ever since Harmony turned one it's like she's a whole new person. I don't remember Lars being this much of a handful!"

Photobucket

"And she's so demanding of ALL of my time. She expects me to drop everything just to get her a bowl of cereal. And when I mean everything, I do mean everything. Even when mommy's trying to have some quality time with daddy, or herself."

Photobucket

"And she's taken to playing in the toilet. Gross! At least we keep it flushed and clean, but it's a chore having to bath her five times a day because she thinks its the funniest thing to do right now."

Photobucket

"And then to add insult to injury, Walyon bring sup the topic of us having another child. I have to bite my lip to keep from screaming at him. He knows that I want to return to work, or even open up a ballet studio, and here he is talking about more babies."

Photobucket

"I stew over this as I'm cleaning up her dinner dishes. I close my eyes and take deep breaths. I want to be tranquil and calm before going to bed. Plus, I don't want the kids hearing us fight. We've never fought before. And it seems strange to start now. But he's always supported me, and now it seems like he doesn't care. He only wants what he wants and that's it."

Photobucket

"I stay up reading while he finished up in the bathroom before coming to bed. I tell him that we need to talk as I close my book."

Photobucket

"I tell him how I really feel about having another child. Not in a harsh way, it's a nice way. But in truth, I can't fathom being pregnant again, fighting off stretch marks, and having to push the baby out. I'd go crazy. He's not happy with the news. I also tell him that I think I'm going to have permit measures done to prevent any accidents. That nearly made him pass out."

Photobucket

"I apologised for the huge shock, but he says that he understands. I can tell that he doesn't. He's always wanted a large family, but I never have. I love my children, but two is enough for me. I smile shyly at him and tell him, even though we aren't trying for any more babies, we can still practice. This makes him forget about our conversation, at least for a while, as we make love."

Photobucket
"He comes to me the next night, once the kids are in bed, and tells me that I should go through with it. If I want to go back to work, he'll support me. If I want to open up a dance studio, he'll support me. What ever makes me happy makes him happy as well. I can't be more pleased. I fell so warm and fussy inside right now. Now, all I have to do is find a job opening."

***

Emma really is bored. Once Lars is gone to summer camp (he just goes to school, I forgot to replace my summer vacation mod) and Harmony goes to sleep, all she does is play on the computer and eat junk food. Then she goes and rolls the want to get back into the dance career. So I've had her on the computer, but the job hasn't popped up yet. She also rolled the want to open a business, so we'll see what happens.

Walyon on the other hand had other plans. Every time she talked to him about work he would get upset. I guess he wants her to be a stay at home mom, but that's not Emma. Then he starts talking about babies. Emma isn't having it. She's done.

They have tired for baby three times but nothing, so I took that as a sign that she's done, plus the fact that she's rolled the fear of having another baby. I'm going to take her into the doctors to discus her options. But for now she hasn't gone. If something happens between then and going to the OB we'll just deal with that.

  1. Wow, at least they were able to talk about it and get a clear understanding about the true issues. I hope she opens a dance studio, that would be nice.

  3. Harmony is too cute climbing out of the crib like that! What a little handful she is! No wonder Emma needs some more time to herself. I hope the dance career pops up on the computer soon.

  4. Carla, I love her but she did drive Emma to the brink. And now she's walking, she's just getting into more things. I'm going to pop in soon to see if anything has changed.
