He Bangs
Narrated by Viggo
I think my mom worries about me. I'm getting older which means she's getting older... as well as my dad. And I think she worries that if something happens to them who will take care of me. She's been hinting that she wants me to further my education, she wants me to go to college.
A Moment Like This
Life has been wonderful for Emma, Lars, and Waylon. Their little family just keeps getting better and better. Emma looks forward to getting home from work, because she's greeted by her son with a huge bear hug. She wouldn't trade this for all the gold in the world.

For Whom the Bell Tolls
(I might be off by a year or two with Trant and Trisha. I forgot to write down their ages and I thought I had it noted in my notes before hand.)
Trant sits and stares at the plant on the dinning room table.
He looks long and hard at it. Contemplating it's existence. He's existence. Every one's existence. Life is so short. So fleeting. One moment you are here and then next, you're not.
Edward Christian's death is still fresh in his mind, and Trant just can't shake the over whelming feeling that it has caused him. He and Eddie were friends, and the man's sudden death and just how short life actually is has sent Trant into a depression of sorts.
Which causes Trisha all sorts of headaches. Now her focus has turned from her eldest child, Tina, to her husband. This depression has her so very worried. Trant was never the one to let anything slow him down. But losing a close friend has crawled up under his skin and it refuses to let go. She finished making the bed and heads off to find her husband.
Sunday evening finally comes around and Trisha is busy preparing dinner, wanting to get everything done before Tina arrives.
But she's early, wanting to check in on her dad. To spend some time with him, to pull him out of this slump.
"Dad, you really don't look to hot. Why not try something new? Do something that you've always wanted to do."
"I'm find, you should worry about me." He tells her. They both sand out on the porch for long moments before heading inside.
"Life is like one long picture show. Once your reel is up then it's time for your final curtain call."
Trisha's face turns grim. "What have I told you about talking like this around Sofia?"
Trant hardly pays her any ind as he continues to discuss just how short life truly is.
Sofia hates when he parents fight. They never used to fight, but the auguring started a few months back and it's seems to be getting worse by the day. Suddenly she doesn't feel so hungry anymore.
Tina is glad that she has her own home to head back to, she can no longer stomach the bickering either.
She hugs her dad good bye and kisses her mom on the check, thanking her for dinner. She promised that she'll be back next Sunday, because it's tradition, and then leaves.
Trisha cleans up the dinner plates her eyes traveling to Trant. He's in his normal spot after dinner, the dinning room window. He stands there staring. Most of the time it's at nothing. Sometimes it will be a few kids playing between the houses on their block. She returns to cleaning up. She wishes he would go see someone, maybe even get on some medication, but he refuses.
And there he stands. He'll be here for a few hours. Nothing is out here to hold his attention, it's just strangely comforting to him.
When Trant isn't gazing out the dinning room window he's poking around in the fire place. The dancing of the flames mesmerizes him.
Trant shrugs. He doesn't want to be bothered with going to the doctor's to discuss his feelings, and he doesn't want to be doped up on drugs either.
So he goes on with life, dragging himself out of bed in the wee hours of the morning to head off to work. Sometimes he wonders what his family would do if he never returned from work. What if he slipped and drowned in the water? What if his oxygen tank stopped working? So many things could happen out in the ocean and just like that he would no longer exist.
Trisha has been so focused on her husband that this months bills slipped her mind and the repo man showed up to collect.
And when Trant gets home he has even more bad news; he's been demoted. His boss told him he's losing his focus, which is true. He doesn't fight the demotion, he only accepts it. Why fight? It wastes too much energy.
He stands in the door way connecting the garage to the house, staring at Trisha. Trant wonders what he's done to deserve a woman like her?
He knows that he's being unruly, but he just can't bring himself to care. This who being consumed with death is starting to get old. It's effecting his home life, his career, his children. But the change he needs to make is just out of reach.
He does try to spend more time with Sofia though. Which makes the little girl very happy.
He takes her to the newly built park up the street from their house. She finds an abandoned kit and quickly picks it up. She runs around with if following behind her for a while before an evening breeze sweeps it up into the air.
Title is from Metallica's For Whom the Bell Tolls. I don't think the song really goes with the post but I liked the title anyway. ;)

Those College Days Fall 2012
The new school year starts off without any fan fair. Everyone falls into their class schedules pretty quickly. Marchon misses their own cook in the Freshman dorm. He could cook, this new cook burns everything, even eggs!

Small update
Just, my husband has been sick, like really sick for the past 2.5 weeks. I knew something wasn't right, I mean almost 13 years of marriage you kinda learn when something isn't right with that person. I kinda guessed he had diabetes, since he was presenting those symptoms, and of course, being a man he wouldn't listen to me. LOL
Well Friday it reach the boiling point. He's gotten so small, lost 20lbs. or more, and he was moving like a zombie, he wasn't responding to me when I spoke to him. So after dropping the kids off at school and cleaning up a little I decided that enough was enough and I told him that we were going to the ER. But he was so weak by this point (11:30 am) that he couldn't even walk, couldn't get up off the couch. So I called 911.
The paramedics came took his blood pressure, it was extremely low. I told them that he might be diabetic (he has it on both sides of his family) and they took his glucose. It was so high that the machine couldn't read it.
So basically to make a looooong story short, they've gotten everything under control. He's much better now, still in the hospital though. Hopefully he'll be home either tomorrow or Tuesday. They were talking about today, but they want to get his levels as low as possible.
But through all of this I have been trying to get this update finished with. It's driving me crazy. So just a bit longer guys and I'll have something posted for you all to read! :)

I'm ready to cry. I don't understand this. *SOBS*

It's the most wonderful time of the year 2012/2013
We start off with one minor change. Riverdale has decided to add a pre-k class to the elementary school. So children who turn four (4) before September will be allowed to enter Riverdale Elementary to start their scholastic career.
Happy Birthday
First up is little Alon Sanchez. He is the third addition to Fatima and Mansur's family, but he also holds the honor of being their first son. And his older cousin Donte.
Little Aspen Cotton was an unexpected bundle of joy for her parents Amos and Nita Cotton. But they are thrilled to have her added to their happy home!
Geeta Ramaswami is also four this summer and like Cicero she's excited about started preschool!

Sweet touch of love
mini-update
Two weeks. Two whole weeks Viggo has been away at soccer camp. But he's back now and with Cameron. She's glad! She's missed him a lot. And after much complaining and gripping about still working at the family bakery Cameron is on the end of one of the best massages she has ever received. It could be due to that fact that Viggo seems to finally be growing into his teenage body.

Novak Summer Vacation
not so mini mini-update.
Nanat and Mathew made good on their promise to their grandson Shaw. He's so excited!
Shaw can't believe he's actually in Florida and will be going to Disneyland soon! What a way to spend a summer.
He tells his mom this over breakfast in their hotel room. He also tells her how much he misses her cooking and asks her why can't she work in the hotel's kitchen.

Sorry for the delays
The first one is I play this awesome game online called Piratesonline. I get to be a pirate and help Jack Sparrow and his motley crew save the Pearl as well as run around and KILL stuff. It's very fun and relieves tons of stress.
I have been a member for over a year and this year the finally introduced the main enemy Jolly Roger. He's been part of the game but was never in it... until now. There are timed invasions and they started at the beginning of the month. You get to kill him and his undead hoards.
So this is what has been eating up ALL my time outside of cooking, cleaning, homework, and dinner.
My pirate Marge Crestmonk reviving another pirate who has been knocked out.

He though he would be alone in the dorm but to his surprise he's been join by Evi Boone and a few other students who also have to gain summer credits.
They've become quit close these past few weeks. And Marchon is still broken up over Mary. He states this every moment that he gets. The dorm cook is tired of hearing about but some college girl let some college guy do to her. It happens every day, get over it!

We all fall down
Joy is busy cleaning. She needs to get those last minute things cleaned, packed, and put away before the shuttle arrives. Summer break brings summer vacations. And the Christians are about to go on one. Joy yells for everyone to finish up what they are doing and to get ready.
But it's like talking to a brick wall. Edward is out in the garden tending to his peppers. Making sure they will last the week that they will all be gone.
He shakes his head. He's really messed up with regards to Davon and AJ. He was supposed to go on a spring fishing trip with them last spring, but at the last minute he canceled. It wasn't as if he wanted to, the restaurant needed him, Joy needed him, the twins needed him. He figured AJ and Davon would understand, they were grown now.
He's new family comes first. But they didn't and still don't understand. Davon will speak with him but AJ refuses to say a word to Eddie. But he vows that once they return home from this vacation he's going to make things right between his two oldest.
Edward Jr. is in his room saying good bye to Brooke. If it were up to him he wouldn't even be going on this silly vacation. He would much rather spend his time with his girl, not ruffing it in the mountains. Plus, in a few weeks he'll be leaving for soccer camp, which again, will take him away from Brooke and her sweet kisses.
Connor and Angel are just plan excited about the vacation. This is their first time leaving Riverdale and they can't wait. Too bad they won't get dressed and finish packing.
Connor finally decides that he better get packing whereas Angel asks Eddie to play football with him.
After five minutes Joy comes running outside chastising the both of them. She takes the football and give a slight whack on Angel's behind. "Get in there and get dressed. And make sure you pack enough clean underwear." She says.
Angel rubs at his bum and marches into the house. "You better be packed too, mister."
Eddie holds up his hands in self defense. "Yup. Just waiting to leave."
Eddie sits and things about all the kisses he's not going to get from Brooke for one whole week. Family vacations suck!
The shuttle comes and takes them to the airport, and after a two hour flight they arrive at Three Lakes. Both Eddie Sr. and Joy settle on camping in nature. The boys wanted a hotel room, but camping would build character. So tents it was. Their welcome to the beautiful camp site was a fight with two locals. Joy snatched up the boys and ushered them to their tents.
Eddie is bored out of his mind. One can only fish so many times a day. And the axe throwing is only fun for five minutes. At least at Camp Kick It he has is soccer ball to fill his time, and his buddy Viggo Kim. But here, he has nothing, no cell phone (since his parents won't buy him one) to call Brooke, no television, not even a good book. He could kick himself for not bringing one like he had planed. He glances over at his brother, Connor screaming and laughs. Maybe he could entertain him.
Connor runs past his older brother screaming for their mother. He really wants to collect as many Three Lake bugs as possible but getting attacked by bees were not in his plans.
The days passed for the family and Eddie's boredom soon gave way. They explored many places that Mrs. Kim hadn't taken them to at camp, and Eddie was amazed. One the final day they decided to relax and stay at camp. Eddie Sr. wanted to try his hand and bug collecting as well but was pretty bad at it. All he caught was mountain air. This amuses Eddie Jr.
The last night the temperature dips into the mid 50's, and Joy is glad she made everyone bring an extra sleeping bag. But Eddie clearly had another way to keep warm on his mind.
The first thing Eddie does when they return home is call over Brooke. He tells her what a good time he had, and how surprised he was that he actually enjoyed himself.
The night before he leaves for Camp Kick It Eddie tells one of his dad's teen employees about how great came it. That she should look into going next year, because once she's in her final year of high school she can no longer participate.
She thinks Camp Kick It sounds great and wants to tell her parents about it when she gets home.
Over dinner Joy tells Angel some exciting news. She's pregnant and he and Connor will become big brothers!
He tells Joy how he'll have three best friends once the baby is born. She's glad that the kids are as excited about the new addition as she and Eddie are!
After dinner is done and the dishes are all washed Eddie and Joy take a few moments to lay out under the stars. This a clear cloudless summer night and if one knows where to look they can find the Big Dipper. Which is what Eddie points out to Joy. She giggles, remembering that this was one of the reasons she fell so hopelessly in love with him all those years ago.
Joy can hardly keep her eyes open and heads off to bed. Eddie decides to tend to his garden before turning in, just to make sure that his veggies are okay and to tell them good night.
Everything happens so quickly, first there is a tightening in Edward's chest, knocking the wind out of him. Though he is standing right below his bedroom window he is unable to call out for help. Then this indescribably pain grips his cheats, he clutches at it in vein, trying to wheeze the word "help."
Soon it's over and Eddie drops dead in his garden. His last thoughts are that of his oldest sons and how he wasn't able to make things right between them, and who would look after Joy and the kids now that he's gone? Then, everything goes black.
Joy wakes up to Eddie Jr. screaming. She jumps up swiping away the sleep cobwebs in her head, and runs towards her son. He's outside standing before his father's limp form.
Joy races to him and realizes that he is gone, he's cool to the touch. But she still calls for her son to call 311 and she starts CPR. Everything moves in a blur after that.
Once they take her husband's body away Joy wanders into the bedroom, locking the door behind her and breaks. Everything she knows is not gone. What is she going to do?
***
Poor Joy. After Edward died she went straight into the red and ended up losing the baby. I was so tempted to exit without saving cause I wanted to know if she was going to have a boy or a girl, but in the end I left it alone. Eddie was her life I have no idea what she's going to do without him
On a lighter note I've finally seen Big Foot. Eddie Jr. found the secret location and he and Connor were the only ones not to roll the Big Foot fear want. So I let them go meet him before their vacation was over.
notes from GB: Sadly, Edward rolled the ROS death by illness. So I wrote it up as if he had a sudden heart attack. I was sad to see hm go. *sniff* Even with all his short coming he was a good father to his later three kids, and he was actually a good father with Davon, this is why their relationship is so high. He and Jamie divorced before AJ was born and he never made much time to be with him.
Him patching things up with them was my fault. I forgot to have him invite them over to work things out and I remembered after I killed him off. Silly me, but like in RL that happens some times.
Eddie is really taking his dad's death hard like his mom. I feel bad for Connor and Angel because right now they have to fend for themselves. Thank goodness for leftovers.
Oh, and if you see a change in Joy's age that's me again. I never wrote down how old she was. I know she's much younger than Edward but I need to make note of it.
